Transportation tips...

From Ben Gurion airport to Tel Aviv center, the cheapest way is to take  the train   to
Arlozorov train station in central TA and from there you can take a taxi (not immediately
outside the exit of the station but further on the main road - see warnings bottom of this
page) or a bus, to your accommodation or if you have a large luggage and want to be
comfortable you can use the airport taxi service see the airport site here you can find
flight information and also see transportation related links.

In the city you either walk or use public transportation
Driving in Tel Aviv is not advisable
Parking in Tel Aviv - there is NO parking in tel aviv - as all the big cities Tel-Aviv is
packed and it is very difficult to find parking so unless you are a masochist don't drive
a car in the city -  better use your legs or a taxi or other public transportation.

Bicycles - Recommended as the best way to see Tel Aviv apart from walking - there
are a few places where you can rent a bicycle in the city the prices are around 40
    Shekel per day.

that goes on Allenby and Ben Yehuda until the end and bus number 5 that takes you
on Dizengoff all the way from the central station to the north until Nordau Street  where it
turns right towards the train station passing Yehuda Macabee street on the way.

Minibuses service: very convenient and cheap to travel in the center they run all week
even on Saturday fare is cheaper than a bus 5 shekels only
no. 5 minibus runs all  Dizengoff from the north to the central station and no. 4 minibus
all Ben Yehuda and Alenby from the north to the central station

travelling outside the city - to rent a car is a good option if you like driving and can
afford it - driving in Israel is not too hard just study the maps and be patient because
the Israeli drivers are not very courteous on the road... if you don't want to rent a car
you can travel by bus or by train - they are both comfortable.
Buses Eged covers almost every destination no matter how small   most of Eged
buses start from the central bus station -  the old central station is not a very nice
neighbourhood you might prefer to avoid it  the new central station is not very nice
neither but if you have to travel to Eilat or somewhere else with a Eged bus you might
not have a choice to Haifa and Jerusalem you can take the bus from the terminal near
Arlozorov train station (see EGED information)
Trains are a great way to go around but they don't go everywhere check the Israeli
    Railway website

Warning From the central bus station or train station never take a taxi that is not
licenced and is hanging around looking for customers. This taxi not  legitimate and
charge a lot . You can go a few steps to the main road near by and stop a regular taxi
with a number on it. These are licensed taxis from companies and they charge by
    activating the meter
