Tel Aviv 4 Fun  THE BLOG 2009
    Friday, February 6th
    weekend in the Galilee

We did not have much rain this
winter but now it feels already like
spring and it is green and yellow
everywhere so it is a good time to
    go into the blooming nature.

We went to a B&B in the beautiful
North. We booked a room in
    Amuka at the Nahmias family
where we have been before only
for meals. We took of in the
morning about 10 and had a stop
in a place with green lane and
view to the Kinereth lake called
Cahal. We had there a breakfast
    which was not bad considering
that it is not Tel Aviv :-)

The B&B was as beautiful as I
expected and it had everything a
fire (on gas) a new round jacuzzi
    bath, beautiful lemon tree just
outside and even ear sticks :-)

The supper at Nahmias was the
same as the other two times we
were there and the wine as good
as ever. I am sorry I took the fish. It
was good but the steak is always
better. I will remember for the next
    time I hope :-)
    Tuesday, February 10th,
    Election day in Tel Aviv

It was raining and I met my
friend on Bar Gurion Kiosk on
    Ben Gurion Avenue where
    she was already enjoying a
    soup that amazingly costs
    only 10 Shekel and was
good. I had a coffee and
    watched the people running in
the rain. I love rain :-)

    Thursday, February 12th,

I went with a friend to Tel
    Aviv Port in the early
    afternoon

and we had lunch at the
    Gillie's restaurant. They
have a business lunch for 98
    Shekel that includes first
    course,main and a drink.

I had a fish soup that was
    good and otherwise the
    mixed fried calamari and
    fish that my friend ordered
where OK and came in a
    huge quantity but the
    shrimps in tomato sauce
that I ordered was not such
    a good choice ...the poor
    shrimps were drowning in a
    kind of thick pasta tomatoes
    and cream sauce :-( In
    whole the Gillie's lunch was
not great but it can be that
we just did not chose their
    best dishes I am just
    realising now since it is
    more a grill meat restaurant
    and we chose fish and
    seafood that might be the
    problem :-)
    However their brunch is one
    of the best.

Tel Aviv 4 Fun THE  BLOG 2008

    Friday, April 3rd,

    Day Trip to Jerusalem
    Today I had a great experience. I
was a tourist in my own country for
a few hours and it felt great.

I joined the Jerusalem Old City Free
Tour. It starts every morning at 11
AM from Jaffa gate  It was fun and
interesting. Our guide, Dvir took us
    through this labyrinth, called Old
    Jerusalem, and told us interesting
    stories and gossips hundred or
thousand years old. I really enjoyed
the tour and it made me proud to be
Israeli and ashamed that I know so
    little about Jerusalem

Practicalities: I went by bus to
    Jerusalem central station from Tel
Aviv (no. 480 Egged from the
    Arlosorov Railway station) and there
I took bus 20 to Jaffa gate
