The park has many different recreational areas, a lake football and basketball ground, skateboard club ...It is a great place for jogging, cycling, walking. There are also many children attractions in the park and around. I will mention some of the main attractions (Hebrew Website): a climbing wall, water park called Memadion, Mini Golf for children. See Park Hayarkon gallery Park Haatzmaut - On the coast from Nordau street in the north to the Tel Aviv Marina a beautiful green park with wild secluded corners. It is not always very clean but it is nice to walk at sunset and look at the beach and the sea from up the hill. Park Charles Clore - in the South part of the seashore from the Alma beach to Jaffa. Nice place to have a picnic by the sea beautiful view of Old Jaffa. Nice playground for children. Gan Meir - The biggest in the city - near the Dizengoff Center on King George street. It is not very big and not very well preserved but still can provide some shade and quiet on a warm day when you want to get away from the bustling city crowds. A new café in the park Landwer Café
you can rest and relax. I recommend to go in spring time behind the Gan Hayir Mall and find a beautiful little garden that has flowers that smell wonderful. Also at the back of the .Performing Art Center complex lies a beautiful garden Gan Dubnov that has children facilities and shaded grass meadows. Another lovely secluded garden is Gan Yaakov you can find near the Habima Theater . The little garden has been preserved and survived the reconstruction of the Habima Building.
One of the best achievement of Tel Aviv current Mayor, Mr. Ron Hulday is the development and embellishment of Tel Aviv "Grand Boulevards". All the Boulevards have benches, in the shade of beautiful old trees, grass or other plants and children playgrounds. It is indeed a sanctuary where you can take a break from the heat and the rush of the city. The main Boulevards are: Rotschild Boulevard, leads from Habima to Allenby street Ben Zion Boulevard, leads from King George street to Habima Chen Boulevard, leads from Rabin Square to Habima Ben Gurion Boulevard, from Rabin Square to the beach |
