NIght Life in Tel Aviv Pubs Bars Bar Restaurants Clubs Live music clubs gay & lesbian scene |
Tel Aviv is nicknamed "the city that never stops" meaning that the nightlife goes on until morning, bars are very trendy at the moment as the main nightlife outing, also pubs and music clubs are in. Restaurants and cafés are also open at least until midnight. The Bars and Clubs that are supposed to be IN are playing hard to get and there is a tough selection at the door. There are different kind of bars part of them are pick up bars, gay bars, age related bars and dance clubs - In Alenby street area are the bars that I don't recommend - the best clubs and bars are in Tel Aviv port or in the Rotschild Blvd. area. The clubs have every night different style of music so it is recommended to check what's on before you go. In the summer there are bars on the beach with tables and chairs on the sand on Frishman and Jerusalem Beach, Banana Beach you can find them by the colorful triangle shaped lamps Walking in the streets at late hour is safe relatively. Israelis drink but not in large quantities so you don't see many drunk in the streets. However if you hang along alone in the late hours on the streets it is better to keep to yourself and not get involved in raws because in certain areas it can get rough. see a choice of places that are IN at the moment on the bars & pubs page |

There is no problem to find drinks in Tel Aviv - there are many pubs and bars and also shops opened 24 hours all week where you can by booze... Beer is very popular and there are local brends that are not too bad Goldstar and Maccabi but you can find of course Heineken, Tuborg and Carlsberg and also Guinness and Murphy though these too are never together in the same place the suppliers are rivals :-)) Also Cocktails are trendy, Taquilla, Mohita, Margarita etc just name it and it is on the menu... Drinks are not cheap - average for a pint is 25 NIS (6 $) and for a cocktail 40 NIS (almost 10 $) |
